Membership totals 85! Annual growth of membership base exceeds 15%. The approximate current Legion National Membership exceeds 3 million women and men comprised of Veterans from World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, Desert Storm, The Global War on Terrorism, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

We are proud to have all branches of our Nation's Military represented in our Post.

We hold our meetings aboard the Intrepid, but our membership comes from all over the New York Metro area to include all of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Florida.

 

Membership Eligibility Requirements
April 6, 1917 to November 11, 1918 (World War I)
December 7, 1941 to December 31, 1946 (World War II)
June 25, 1950 to January 31, 1955 (Korean War)
February 28, 1961 to May 7, 1975 (Vietnam War)
August 24, 1982 to July 31, 1984 (Lebanon/Grenada)
December 20, 1989 to January 31, 1990 (Operation Just Cause - Panama)
*August 2, 1990 to today (Operation Desert Shield/Storm)

To be eligible to join the American Legion, you must have served at least one day of active military duty during the dates marked above and been honorably discharged or be still serving honorably.
